Most consumers don’t take action because they think filing a case will take years.
But today, filing a consumer complaint is easy, online and fast.

Follow these steps:

  1. Collect evidence (invoice, messages, emails, warranty card, photos)

  2. First send a written complaint to the company for resolution

  3. If ignored → file complaint on National Consumer Helpline or e-Daakhil portal

  4. Attach documents and select compensation amount

  5. Attend hearings online or at the consumer commission

Consumer commissions are divided based on claim amount:

  • District Commission → up to ₹50 lakh

  • State Commission → ₹50 lakh to ₹2 crore

  • National Commission → above ₹2 crore

Once a legal notice goes out from consumer court, companies suddenly become polite and cooperative — because they don’t want legal penalties and reputation damage.

Justice has become digital — use it.
